In the city of Tartus, a suicide bomber targeted a bus station, and minutes later a car bomb was detonated at the same location. In the city of Jableh, bombs were set off at multiple locations, including a hospital, a bus stop and a power station. The Islamist militant group Daesh (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the bombs.
