My husband, Joe, and I were incredibly happy that we chose Buenos Aires (B.A.), Argentina, as our vacation destination this year. Aside from the U.S. dollar’s being strong there, one of the main reasons we decided to go was because we read W.E.B.

Mt. Everest was the highlight of my trip to Tibet in April ’04. I will never forget watching the sun rise over the mountain. I learned that, with the altitude, we needed to take it slow when touring the monasteries and temples; there were a lot of steps to climb.
I was aware of the buzz surrounding Iceland as a new travel “hot spot,” but the only in-depth coverage I had actually come across was filtered through the acerbic wit of Anthony Bourdain on an episode of the Travel Channel’s “No Reservations.” (There seemed to be a l
