Bolivia Visa On Arrival

<p>I am interested in hearing about experiences obtaining a visa on arrival at La Paz Airport in Bolivia. I note that many flights arrive in the wee hours of the morning. Is the visa on arrival service available at all hours?</p>

I arrived about 2:30 a.m. with an expensive pre-issued Bolivian visa from the USA in December 2013.  Most travelers already had their visas and we waited in a long line to pass through immigration.  The very bored agent waiting to issue the arrival visas literally had no customers.  Therefore, I opted to obtain my Ethiopian visa upon arrival at 3:00 a.m. in January 2014 and encountered a very long line.  I would chance it with the Bolivian visa but no guarantees.
