Recommendations for guide while in San Miguel

Some friends and I will be in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico end of October. Does anyone have recommendation for a guide we can use while there? Interested in someone who can take us on day trips around the area Thanks, Sheryl

Helene Kahn, an American who has lived in SMA for years gives tours in town as well as day trips. We have gone with her to Guanajuato and also Queretaro. A less expensive but excellent option is to us the Bestur Agency owned by Efrain Mendez Lopez. Using locals who speak excellent English, he can arrange airport transfers as well as day trips. We have used him, so have our visiting family and friends for Guanajuato. And last year they took my son on a day trip to see the Monarch Butterflies. This December we are flying into Mexico City (instead of Leon) spending a few days and then will be picked up by Bestur, taken to Teotihuacan to see the Aztec pyramids and then driven to San Miguel where we will spend 7 glorious weeks.
