<p>I am planning on spending about 3 days in Goa at the end of January 2011. Any suggestions on activities, guides, etc? I'll be flying in from Delhi after spending two weeks there for work.

Three days may not be enough to explore & experience Goa. However, since that is your time schedule, you will need to use it judiciously between the beach & sightseeing. For the hotel The Taj Exotica just south of Colva Beach has some lovely sea-facing rooms. The grand cathedrals of Old Goa, including the St. Augustine Tower, the museum of Christian Art at Rachol, Old homes in all goan villages are worth a visit. Big Foot at Loutolim, where Goanese village life is recreated in an exhibition-style setting. The Latin Quarter in Panjim or the Fontainhas, is Goan heritage at its best.
A Lua restaurant at Merces; Martin's Corner at Salcete; Fish curry & rice at any of those beach shacks are delightful eating joints. That poolside restaurant at Cedade de Goa churns out great dishes
Tito's at Baga has that typical Hippie ambience.
Oh, God how time flies...it is good 13 years when I last visited Goa & a lot may have changed!!
Merry Christmas!
We were there on a single day cruise ship stop a few years ago and did a country side temple day trip tour. It was our least favorite stop and found little to like about it from this very short visit. Dirty harbor, aggressive guides, set-up rip off shopping and little of architectural or cultural interest. I wonder if 13 years ago it was more charming than what we found a few years ago of if we badly did it an injustice with our far too short visit. I like Fort Cochin and Kerala far better.
