OK, let's PLEASE come into the world of reality here. I am interested in renting a 2 bedroom apartment in San Jose for a few months to test the waters of living there. DO NOT have any interest in buying. DO NOT want to spend anywhere near a thousand US$/mo.
Is it practical to believe that my spouse and I can live in San Jose (outside of city center is great) for under US$2K/mo?
Anyone living in San Jose who would answer questions and correspond with us about this?
I read stuff from some sources that are just ridiculously unreal--live in XYZZZZZZ like a king for five thousand a month. Well, one can do that in any number of places in the world. I am a retired public school person, and almost everyone knows that the teaching retirement is not great. So I would appreciate some real world input and hopefully from someone who actually lives in San Jose.
BTW, Spanish communication is fine. I am conversant in both. My spouse is fluently bilingual and can help be translate anything with which I have difficulty.
Thanks for your consideration, and hopefully, response.
