<p>Has anyone used a prepaid credit&nbsp;card for international use {cash withdrawals and purchases} and was it worth doing?? you read so much about accounts being compromised.</p>

I've never used a prepaid card, but I do have two questions.  First, what if the prepaid card is stolen or lost?  Will it be replaced in the same way as if it were a regular card?  And second, what happens if a serious emergency arises,such as the need to buy new plane tickets to return home?  Will you have a large enough balance on the prepaid card?  One virtue of carrying one or more credit cards is that you have a "cash" reserve if you have an unexpected need for a larger sum than you're carrying in any other form. Also, have you checked to learn what your liability would be in case your regular credit card is lost or stolen?
