Am spending a week in Medellin on my own in March before a 21-day Colombia tour with Eldertreks. Can someone recommend a Medellin-based professional, reliable guide/driver who can take me on 3 one-day tours in Medellin and Santa Fe de Antiocha? Natura Travel de Colombia (Natura Travel Colombia), which has been highly recommended in this forum, and has been around for 30 years, appears to no longer be in business. They have not responded to the e-form that I submitted from their website at www.naturatravelcolombia.com and the email that I sent to them this morning has bounced.

Thanks to a frequent respondent on this message board who went out of her way to inquire on my behalf, I found out that Natura Travel Colombia still exists after all. Their website is still www.naturatravelcolombia.com, but their email address has changed to contact@naturatravelcolombia.com. Unfortunately it turned out that they insisted on having a Skype conversation with me, when all I really wanted were a few standard tours that I felt could easily be arranged by email. As an alternative, I wound up booking a 1/2 day Medellin city tour, two full day tours (including one to the colonial town of Santa Fe de Antioquia), and round-trip airport transfers through viator.com, which offers a wide variety of tours of Medellin and vicinity (not to mention hundreds of destinations all over the world). The only disadvantage of Viator is that I had to pay for their minimum of 2 people per booking even though I am traveling alone. Ridiculously, this includes even shared airport transfers that make stops at other hotels. Nonetheless, at this point I'm just satisfied and relieved that I found a presumably reliable tour company where I was able to book with no muss, no fuss. My tour reservations were confirmed.
