Hello,
My wife and I are thinking about traveling to London in April. Would like a centrally located, moderate priced hotel in a safe area. All replies are welcomed.
Thanks...Charles

Hotel in London
I highly recommend Park Plaza County Hall London, 1 Addington Street.
I wrote this review for Trip Advisor.
We stayed at this hotel for 4 days prior to our cruise which left from Southampton.
LOCATION: The hotel is in the perfect location!!!! Just cross Westminster Bridge to find Parliament, Big Ben & Westminster Abbey. (Great photo opportunities from the bridge).
The London Eye, Waterloo Tube Station & the Hop on Hop off (HOHO) bus are all just a few blocks away. If walking is not an issue, you can even walk to Buckingham Palace, the Churchill War Rooms & the National Gallery which faces Trafalgar Square.
CHECK IN: I arrived at the hotel around 9:30am. No rooms were available but they kept the luggage while I went out to explore.
THE ROOM: Housekeeping gets 2 thumbs up. Everything in the room was in tip top shape. Our view was of Waterloo Train Station. Trains were constantly coming and going but we never heard a thing. There are rooms that face the London Eye but it was not worth the extra expense. We had a room for three. The couch opened up into a bed. There was a kitchenette with dishes, glassware, mugs, and utensils. The small fridge had one side free so we would purchase water and cool it in there. Other things that were nice to have: microwave, coffee machine, hairdryer, mini safe, iron & ironing board. I do wish their trash cans were a bit bigger. Each night they were overflowing.
FOOD: After a long day of site seeing we were often too tired to venture out. There were not many restaurants nearby so we wound up eating at the hotel restaurant, both the one upstairs & the one in the bar. The food was very good but the service was fair. (It was a little better in the bar). Don’t eat dinner there if you are in any hurry at all. Service was always slow. We would often have to ask for the menu or utensils. But as I said the food was good so we put up with it. Breakfast was another story. It was a buffet. They sat you quickly and got you your coffee or tea in no time. The buffet food was very good & there is a lot of it. Next time I might just stop by a Starbucks and get a coffee & pastry. It would be the cheaper option.
I can’t wait to go back to London & I would definitely stay at this hotel because of location, location, location! Cheers!
