Easter Island

I am hoping to go to Easter Island sometime this year when I can find an affordable airfare or a package tour that is not too expensive. If you have been there and can fill me in on where you have stayed and perhaps where NOT to stay it would be most helpful. And if you used a package tour that was reputabe I would like the name of that so I could take a look at it too. Also anything else you could tell me that would be helpful is also appreciated.

Try Ao Tours and check the hotels listed on Hotels.com. I flew Lan Chile and had a marvelous time.

Thank you for the info. I booked a room through hotels.com and am staying at the Inaki Uhi if you know of it. Also got a great deal on airfare through Priceline.com and saved $2000.00 by booking through them instead of the airlines and actually using some of the same flights. Thanks again.

We went there in late 2010 and used AKU AKU TURISMO for the island tours (did our own transportation there thru LAN). Had a private tour which worked out well. Great guide, a lady named Patricia. They also booked our hotel for us as we had issues with places responding. Stayed at the Hotel Manavai which was fairly centrally located (near one of the beaches and restaurants).
