<p>We are going to Saigon 12/10 and have booked city tour with a tour company and they suggested Reunification Palace, Notre Dame, Old Post Office, War Remants Museum and Ben Thank Market. This is not cut in stone. Should we cancel some or add some? For the next day what should we see? I enjoy the native areas and food. We will also see Can Tho/Chau Doc on a private tour.</p><p> </p><p> </p>

Tour suggestions
Your city tour looks good and it will take a full day to see all the places mentioned. I don't think you need decide on itinerary specifics as you are not leaving for some time. Continue doing research and just work with the local guide that morning to set priorities. A nice day out from HCM city is a visit to the Chu Chi Tunnels along with the Cao Dai Temple. The Cao Dai is a very interesting religion and your guide will probably time it so you are there during a service. You can observe the service from the balcony and visitors stay about 20 minutes. A nice evening activity (starts about 5pm) is a Foodie Tour. I did one with XO Tours (http://xotours.vn/tours/vietnam-food-tour.html) and it was a great way to see parts of HCM city off the tourist track, as well as enjoying a progressive dinner along the way.

Saigon is an exciting city to visit. I enjoyed a thrilling, early evening ride through the city on the back of a motorcycle piloted by an experienced native. These tours are offered by many Saigon city agencies. You may be able to book through your hotel. I highly recommend this activity. Cu Chi for sure...Can Tho & the floating market (stay at the resort hotel instead of overnight on boat).....If in Hoi An, the cooking class is without equal anywhere in the world...If can go north SAPA is very, very special...
