Romania - tour company/personal guide/ancestry search

We would heartily recommend CRIF Tours.  We were supposed to take a cruise on the Danube several years ago and it was cancelled a couple of months before departure after we already had airline tickets into Bucharest and out of Budapest.  CRIF Tours, which advertises in the spring and summer in ITN, was recommended by several people on this Board.  We contacted Cris Floria, owner and operator of CRIF, and he put together a custom tour of Romania that fit our timeframe.  He also took us to Budapest and dropped us off at an airport hotel there.  We worked with him via email and developed a tour concentrated on the medieval cities and Transylvania.  The hotels that he selected were all fine and I felt that the cost of our custom tour was reasonable .  His English is excellent.  He could probably direct you to sources for your ancestry research.  His website is: http://discoverromania.ro/company-profile/.
