Countries open to vaccinated travelers

As of press time, The following countries had opened or waived testing and/or quarantining requirements for vaccinated travelers. (A person is not considered vaccinated until two weeks after their final injection.)

• The Bahamas began waiving any testing requirements for vaccinated travelers, including the rapid antigen tests required for interisland travel, on May 1.

• Israel was scheduled to open on May 23 to a limited number of vaccinated travelers who are members of tour groups. Travelers must also present a negative PCR COVID-19 test before boarding a plane to Israel and will be subjected to a blood antibody test upon arrival.

• In Thailand, vaccinated travelers arriving in Phuket Province will not be required to quarantine starting July 1. Those travelers will still need to present a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours before arrival and take another test upon arrival. Additionally, all travelers can travel to the provinces of Phang Nga, Chiang Mai, Pattaya and Krabi with the negative predeparture and airport tests. However, each traveler must quarantine for seven days in any of those locations regardless of vaccination status.

• France announced on April 19 that it would lift travel bans on vaccinated travelers “in early May.” No other details were announced at that time.
