Leaving Prague on our first river cruise, the captain announced that we would soon be approaching a lock and our riverboat would be dropping down approximately 6 feet.
We wondered why our cabin mate suddenly took off running. Catching up with her in the cabin, we asked what the rush was.
She answered, “I have to close the sliding glass door to keep the water from coming into the cabin.”
We all just stood silent, looked at each other, then burst out laughing as we explained that both the boat and the water go down at the same time inside a lock.
