Yorkshire ghost walk
This item appears on page 63 of the February 2017 issue.
In the seaside Yorkshire village of Robin Hood’s Bay, visitors can join a one-hour nighttime Ghost Walk, led by a “ghostwalker” who will share stories about the supernatural history and maritime legends of the area. Robin Hood’s Bay is located south of the city of Whitby on A171 in North York Moors National Park.
Offered by Whitby Storyteller (phone +44 1947 895122, www.whitbystoryteller.co.uk), the tours occur year-round (weather dependent). Leaving from the Slipway in the Dock, outside Robin Hood Bay’s Visitors’ Center, scheduled tours (times can be found online) can be joined without prior reservation for £5 (near $6) per person. Private tours can also be arranged.
