Tourist killed in Israel

In the city of Jaffa, Israel, an American traveling on business was killed and nine other people were stabbed by a Palestinian assailant on March 8. That same night, two Israeli police officers were shot by a Palestinian in East Jerusalem and an Israeli was stabbed by a Palestinian in the town of Petah Tikvah. In each instance, the attacker was killed.

On March 24, an Israeli soldier was arrested after video emerged showing him shooting and killing a wounded and prone Palestinian. The Palestinian, who had been shot and then surrendered, had stabbed another Israeli soldier at a checkpoint in the West Bank city of Hebron just before the incident.
