Costa Rica birding

The International Symposium on Birding & Aviation Conservation, organized by Holbrook Travel (Gainesville, FL; 800/451-7111, www.holbrooktravel.com), is taking place Jan. 5-7, 2017, at the Selva Verde Lodge & Rainforest Reserve (www.selvaverde.com), located in Sarapiquí, Costa Rica.

The symposium will include daily lectures on birding and conservation and three excursions to nature reserves for hands-on birding. Symposium attendance is available only through Holbrook Travel and costs $725 (single supplement, $125), which includes lodging, all meals and local transfers.
