I was on a Morocco trip with Road Scholar in February 2014. Our guide, Nabil, was very good about explaining aspects of life in the country and often took the opportunity to do so when we were traveling from place to place via bus.
One day we were traveling along the Road of 1,000 Kasbahs. It was early afternoon, and we were lulled by after-lunch torpor and the afternoon sun.
Nabil turned on the microphone, and we all heard him say that he would be discussing “hemorrhoids in Morocco.” That woke us up!
We were relieved to learn, however, that the topic was actually “human rights in Morocco,” and we went on to listen to an excellent talk on that subject.
